Okay, the comments on the side are getting a little out of hand.

So here's a post to address some of the issues brought up.

Mr./Ms. TCSH award.

The staff as well as the teachers discussed and decided on this with a little input from the committee. If you have any issues with it, please take it up with the lecturers. And unless you can come with a real legitimate reason to object to the nominees, please don't complain. For example, if you say the nominee have bad academic results, do you have proof? Have you seen their results or it's just speculation.

And as for Janice's upside down book. It's not because she's stupid. It's suppose to be funny. Sorry if you have no sense of humour.

Best Dressed award.

We have NEVER said that there's gonna be 10 best dressed. There will only be ONE best dressed male and ONE best dressed female.

The 10 prizes will be for the GAME. Where the tables will have to answer questions to win the prizes TOGETHER.

And if you're not from Taylor's, why are you looking at our blog and posting comments about our nominees? Do you not have better things to do but insult our college? Why do you have do it anonymously. Please have the guts to use your real name instead of hiding in the shadows.

How it's gonna work:

The game is pretty simple. There will be 10 questions for the crowd to answer and the table with the most points will win the prize.

Who gets to answer?

Each table will be given a sign with their table number on it so the quickest table to raise it up AFTER the question is asked will be given the chance to answer. If the answer given is wrong, another table gets a chance!

What's the prize?

I won't reveal it here but I will tell you this. Collectively it's worth RM300 =D.

Easy no?

Just get the most points and you'll walk away with an awesome prize!

P.S The questions will be mostly general knowledge stuff so start reading up now!!

Quid Pro Quo.

Besides food, what else will there be to look forward to??

Why, PRIZES of course!!

But as the saying goes, you don't get something for nothing =P.

So, read on if you wanna know how to win yourself something nice on that night.

One way will be to win BEST DRESSED. Don't forget that the dress code for the night is semi-formal so all of you have more freedom to dress up =).

Girls, semi-formal means you don't have to come in long dresses that cost a lot. Instead, you can come in cute and colourful numbers like these.

And guys, not every event has to be in a penguin suit. Why not try something different?

But there can only be one winner in each category (Male/Female) that night. So if you don't win with your looks,

And there won't only be one winner, no no, this time, there'll be TEN.

How exactly will the game work? You'll just have to keep checking this blog for more updates =P. But I'm sure since I mentioned brains, I'm sure most of you will have a good idea of what the game's gonna be.

Now, on the night of Graduation Ball, we'll also be presenting the first ever Mr. /Ms. TCSH award =). The nominees for this award were handpicked by the teachers for the academic excellence and also their participation in extra-curricular activities at TCSH.

I know everyone's busy studying for exams, but here's a super duper important update.

For those of you who don't know where "The Club" is, here's a nice detailed map.

P.S Parking charges are as follows.

RM1 for the first 6 hours.

RM2 for all subsequent hours.

(For OneCard holders, you may use the card to pay for parking)

*NEW UPDATES ON TERMS & CONDITIONS*

1. You guys can now book a table as long as you have 6 or more names for the table.

2. For the booking of a table, a non refundable deposit of RM500 must be given within 2 days from the date of which the reservation was made. (Meaning if you book on Monday, you should pay the RM500 by Wednesday of the same week. If the booking is made on Friday, money should be given by the following Monday.)

3. After the deposit is made, you have until the 31st of May to complete the remaining payment of RM700. You will then receive your tickets when you pay the full amount of RM1200.

4. Should you not be able to get 10 people for your table by 31 May, you must pay the full amount of RM1200. NO exceptions.

5. Upon payment of the deposit, you will be issued a temporary receipt. You must have it present when paying the remaining Rm700. Only then will you receive the official receipts as well as the tickets.

6. If you don't pay up by the 31st of May, you will lose your table. So be quick.

Ticket Booking

As we all already know (or a quick update for those of you who don't) tickets sales are now open! Yay!

We realize that putting together RM1200 takes some time. So to accommodate you better, we are opening reservations for tables.

Here are the terms and conditions for booking:

1. The list of 10 confirmed names said to purchase the table must be provided upon booking.

- Each TCSH student may invite ONLY ONE guest. The guest name must be included in the above list (if applicable). They will be listed under the responsibility of the intivee (TCSH student).

2. Reservations will only be held for a maximum of 2 days following the reservation and payment made within 2 days (Eg: Booking made on Monday, Payment due on Wednesday).

3. The individual who made the reservation will be designated as the table representative. So should anything arise, the representative will be contacted.

Behind The Name

So what exactly does Spring Equinox mean?

Well,

Spring is the season of rebirth, re growth as we A-levels students leave behind a wonderful college experience and venture forth into new experiences such as university (or for some, A2).

Equinox refers to a time where day and night are equal. Much like how all the students here at TCSH are equal. Doesn't matter what race you are, what school you came from or even what subjects you take. Ultimately we're all leaving TCSH with fond memories of each other that we will carry on through our lives.

Sale!

Hey people!!

Ticket sales will officially begin tomorrow!! 22 April 2010.

Our booth will be on the ground floor, right in front of Alpha theatre. We're only gonna be selling tickets from 12.30-1.30p.m. so drop by the booth and save yourself a seat for a memorable night before you guys think of going anywhere for lunch =).

Some things to take note of are,

1. If you wanna buy a table, please have the full sum of RM1200 ready. We will not accept payment from half the table today, and half tomorrow.

2. Tables will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. So the quicker you pay, the more choice you'll have as to where you wanna sit.

The Beginning

Time passes by really fast doesn't it?

In just two months time the CAL Jan/March 09 students will be done with A2 and so will end their A-levels experience. The June 09 students too will be done with AS and thus leave half of their A-levels experience behind.

As everyone prepares for a new phrase in their lives, this Grad Ball will be one last opportunity for everyone to gather and have fun!
